Eggs

Pastured hens lay
health-giving eggs!
Our eggmobile is moved to fresh pasture every few days, and of course, the entire flock follows. A battery-powered switch closes the door to protect them during the night. In winter, they eat grain feed and live in a deep bedded hoop house that provides solar warmth and comfort. Naturally, egg production is significantly lower during colder months.
Our younger children love to pet the hens and help us gather eggs each day. They also help us wash the eggs and place them carefully in cartons.
