Pork

You’ll prefer the meat of a happy hog!Our pork products are from a heritage breed called Gloucestershire Old Spots. These playful pigs have an ideal habitat. In summer and fall, they are rotated to a fresh pasture area every two to three days. They stroll on the grass, roam in the woods, snort under rocks and logs, wallow in the mud, and eat as they go along. Their vegetarian-based diet is composed primarily of grass, roots, nuts, and acorns and is supplemented with grain and highly nutritious dairy whey.

The only difference between our “organic” label and our “all-natural” label is whether the animal was fed certified organic grain and whey. Every other aspect of how our pigs are raised is identical. Either way, the result is rich-tasting, but lean pork for your family.

Our pork products are higher in Omega 3 fatty acids and lower in saturated fat than the amounts found in industrially produced meat. You can be assured that none of our pigs are ever exposed to antibiotics or chemical additives at any point during their growth, on our farm or at the processing plant, which is also certified to handle organic products.
