Dairy Herd Share
Here at Pike Valley Dairy, we offer raw milk herd shares. A herd share is an arrangement in which you pay Pike Valley Dairy for the boarding and care of the dairy herd, which makes you a conditional owner of the herd and therefore entitles you to a weekly share of raw milk.Shares are offered in whole shares and half shares. Multiple shares are encouraged according to availability.

Pick-Up
Pickup time for milk are on Saturdays during our store hours of 12:00PM - 3:00PM. If this does not work out well with your schedule, let us know and we can work something else out.

If you'd like to come meet the cows and see or milking room or if you're interested in watching us milk sometime, email or call to set up an appointment.
Jars & Lids
We've opted to use half gallon glass mason jars with plastic screw-on lids for bottling instead of plastic milk jugs for reusability, better milk quality and sanitation purposes. The cost of the jars and lids is included in the buy-in fee. Replacement cost due to lost or broken jars and lids will be $3.00 per jar. Jars and lids should be thoroughly washed and returned at the next pick-up. They are dishwasher safe, however hand washing is recommended. We inspect and sanitize the jars before bottling.
